Our Garden June 2008

Here’s some photos of our garden in 2008. It was a good year, more rain, not as much drought type conditions as there was in 2007. Every year you learn a little more about gardening, a little more about your plants and how to take care of them so they’re healthy and happy and you learn a little more about yourself too. 2008 was a good year for our garden and a good year for me as a gardener too….I felt like I was really “getting it” but as folks say and I believe it myself, your garden is never really finished, it’s a work in progress all the time, every day, every month, every year and so are you as a gardener and I wouldn’t want it any other way, would you? Like my wife told me once (by the way she’s good bit smarter than me), “it’s the process Paul” when referring to me wanting to do everything at once, not really enjoying the “doing” sometimes as much as I should have. And like always, she was right and like always I finally came around to what she was saying and I felt that way myself one day and do now and every day I’m out piddling in the garden. And I’m a better gardener for it and enjoy piddling in the garden more than I ever dreamed…..or maybe it’s just the Prozac….:-) Just kidding……:-) About the Prozac that is……

Paul, I know Martha is so proud of you. The flowers are so pretty, and the food looked yummy.
Thank you for sharing her birthday party with us.
